Will Michigan support Obama or McCain?

The “nasty” season is on folks, with only 48 days remaining until Election day 2008. An ad showing Palin in a bikini with a rifle, Obama calling McCain a twin of Bush, McCain saying similar nasty things about Obama, geez… I don’t know about you but none of this is funny for me.
But with the recent Kwame situation and now with a new ad featuring Obama praising Kwame (put on by a group opposing Obama), I wonder what role Michigan will play in this upcoming election?
Will Michigan which has historically voted Democrat go the Republican route this time?
After all, Senator McCain, a war hero, is someone who the blue collared white population of Michigan can relate to, especially the high number of conservatives in Michigan who support gun rights and oppose abortion.
Senator Obama on the other hand faces tougher scrutiny from due to what is seen as his lack of judgement when he praised Kwame as a great Mayor, even if he made that comment more than a year ago.
But Senator Obama is campaigning hard on issues related to the economy. He says he will cut down on offshoring and that appeals to the Michigan voters who face perhaps the worst economic situation in the country.
So, will Michigan support Obama or will it change its 20 years of voting history and give McCain a victory? We’ll find out in a little over 49 days…..

I wish they found a better body to photoshop her head on.
So far Obama hasn’t told us anything good. He thinks the Government is the answer to all our ills. Wish he would read the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution for that matter maybe all politicians should read them as a prerequisite for running for office.
I think the people of Michigan are smart, they will go Republican this time.
